🩺 Flu Vaccination Eligibility at Our Practic

The flu vaccine is offered every year to people most at risk of becoming seriously ill from flu. If you fall into one of the groups below, you can book your flu jab with us.
✅ Adults Aged 65 and Over
✅ Adults Under 65 (Clinical Risk Groups)
You may be eligible if you are aged 6 months to under 65 years and have one of the following:
• Chronic respiratory disease (e.g., asthma requiring regular inhaled steroids, COPD)
• Chronic heart disease (e.g., heart failure, congenital heart disease)
• Chronic kidney disease (stage 3–5, dialysis, transplant)
• Chronic liver disease (e.g., cirrhosis)
• Chronic neurological disease (e.g., Parkinson’s, motor neurone disease, epilepsy, learning disability)
• Diabetes mellitus (Type 1 or Type 2)
• Immunosuppression (due to disease or treatment, including chemotherapy, long-term steroids, or HIV infection)
• Severe obesity (BMI ≥ 40)
✅ Children Under 5
• Aged 2–3 years (on 31 August before flu season)
• Children aged 6 months to under 2 years with long-term health conditions
(We do not vaccinate school‑aged children at this practice — these are arranged via school programmes.)
✅ Pregnant
✅ Carers and Household Contacts
• People who are the main carer for an elderly or disabled person
• Household contacts of immunocompromised individuals
Also Children aged 2–17 years  if only in a clinical risk group
